Singapore Slinging

“Hey, Archie, is that Singapore?”

“Mm…if we’re landing then it’s Singapore, Dick.”

“I don’t think so, Arch.  Not unless the Chinese didn’t pay their light bill….”

“Whoa!  Where’s Singapore, Dick?”

“Another 300 km away, gentlemen.  We’re on approach.”  The pretty flight attendant smiled….

The cabin was empty.  Everyone disappeared, leaving Archie and Dick clueless.

“Do we have a pilot?  Dick!  Go fly the plane!”

“Have you lost your frontal lobe, Arch?  I fly a Cessna!”

“Suck it up, Nancy!”

“Hey, Arch.  You’ve gotta hear a doozy of a dream….”

“We were alone on the plane–you landed it…right?”

“Jeez, Archie.”

Dear Lucy, Good story and creepy to match! I don’t think they were in reality – I hope it was a nightmare – otherwise – it could happen. Enjoyable! Nan 🙂

    • Lucy says:

Thanks, Nan. Just caught up reading your posts. Sorry. I’m behind–was a bit, no a lot sick. Feeling better. Now I have to get reading. Lucy

  2. Dear Lucy,

Did they maybe have the same dream? Or maybe Archie knows Dick that well. 😉 Good one.

  3. Maree Gallop says:

A unique take on the prompt with good dialogue. Well done!

  4. Lucy, Funny and well-written story. 😀 I loved the dialogue. I especially liked the part about the Chinese not paying their light bill. That photo from The Twilight Zone put the perfect finishing touch to it. Well done. 🙂 —Susan
