“Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” – John Lennon
I am a Biological Anthropologist, a skeptic and, an agnostic. I am genetically predisposed to criticize. All the women in my family have this trait. In addition, I have become pathologically immersed in books and gardening. I’ve always been a reader.
I am a cancer survivor. I’m really becoming tired of saying that. But it is germane. I did not weather the treatment very well and so I now have a lot of free time on my hands while I recover. All the while I was undergoing treatment, I imagined myself on a white, sandy beach under a palm tree with the stunningly blue water lapping at my feet. So I moved from my home in New Mexico to Florida to live with my dearest friend whom I had not seen in many years.
This blog is me and something not me. I write like an academic and I’m always dishing out information. That’s part of who I am. I hope to enlighten and to share my quirky sense of humor and my love of books, nature, science– just about anything. I like to have fun with words and quotes and images. I’m a fan of Monty Python and almost all British comedies and I have an uncanny talent for remembering lines from movies.
Won’t you join me on this little adventure? You may be surprised, informed, challenged, or just plain entertained. See you at The Breakfast Club.
